Associate Producer

Here is what happens at my new job: one of our clients needs a copy of a video package my company did for them. They tell me, I make a dub and fedex it over. Or it's time to send out a copy of the project to every news station in the Phoenix, AZ area. I make ten dubs and send out ten fedexes.
That's been the main part so far. Today I learned how to put these video packages on our satellite feed: I record a copy into our satellite program, attach a copy of the PSA, and upload it into the satellite. From there any reporter at CNN or ABC can download it to do a story.
Why do I hate this job less than my last? Because there are full-time producers here, people I can someday be. I don't know how long it will take, but someday I can go out on shoots with them and assist in the satellite media tours (SMT).
Plus, I get paid more.
